A prestigious literary quarterly first produced in 1979 and still going strong. Island is published in Hobart, Tasmania, and showcases contemporary writing Australia-wide and internationally.
My role (during 1994) included creating templates for the magazine, copyediting and proofreading.

Leatherwood: Tasmania's Journal of Discovery
A lifestyle magazine showcasing Tasmania's unique environment and its community, with a focus on quality design and photography. Published by Leatherwood Publishing Pty Ltd, Hobart, Tasmania.
My role included copyediting articles, formatting the magazine in line with design specifications, choosing illustrations, liaising with contributors, and proofreading before sending to print. I also wrote articles and fillers, compiled the calendar section and table of contents, and illustrated selected articles. I worked on several issues of Leatherwood in 1992 and 1993.

A magazine about environmental issues and back-to-basics ideas for living. Published by Leatherwood Publishing Pty Ltd, Hobart, Tasmania.
My role as editor was to source articles and illustrations, liaise with contributors, format the magazine in line with design specifications, write an editorial, copyedit and proofread before sending to print. I worked on Basics in 1992 and 1993.
