Sample copyedit

This is what an edited piece of writing looks like with Track Changes marked. This sample uses MS Word.

Some changes are highlighted in colour. Other changes are marked with a comment balloon. In the comment balloon you can see a tick and a cross on the right hand top corner. These allow you to accept or reject each individual editing change. MS Word also lets you view the edited document with changes hidden so you can see its final form.

How can your work benefit?

It depends on the type of document and the stage the document is at.

I usually work in MS Word but can edit documents that use other software, including InDesign.
