I've written a lot about food.

It started with Tasmanian Hospitality News in 1994; I reviewed Hobart's food fairs and culinary competitions.

I was commissioned to write about Danish food while overseas that year:

Years later I scored a gig with the Best Restaurants of Australia Dining Guide (online), for De Groots Media.

I profiled 70 restaurants in the NT and Hobart between 2008 and 2011.

I was always torn between announcing my arrival, to ensure excellent service and possible freebies, and going incognito to get an unbiased impression.
